Chelsea are closing in on Ben White of Brighton and Hove Albion.
Ben White is a Brighton defender who is currently on loan at Leeds United. The former Southampton academy player who was let go of by the Saints was picked up by Brighton.
Currently, he is a starting eleven player for Bielsa’s men at Leeds in the Sky Bet Championship. At 22 years old, White has a lot of development in him but has shown the right traits to become a Premier League star so far.
He is typical modern day defender who is comfortable on the ball and averages 58.6 passes per game, something Chelsea will be looking to in a player under Lampard’s system.
However, White also is a defender who does not shy away from tackles and averages at over 2.8 interceptions and 1.5 tackles per match.
At Chelsea, Lampard is rebuilding the core of the Chelsea team with young, exciting prospects and it is here that White fits the bill perfectly.
Alongside Rudiger and Christensen, White will be the perfect backup with Tomori and Zouma for Chelsea!
It all now depends on whether Chelsea want to spend £25million for the Seagulls defender.
