According to reports, Inter Milan are interesting in signing Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic. Kovacic joined Chelsea on loan from Real Madrid last summer after failing to find much game time at realmadrid.com. His loan expires at the end of this season.
Kovacic has been a regular under Maurizio Sarri this season. The Croat has made 50 appearances for Chelsea this season, providing two assists against Liverpool and Watford.
Despite having a transfer ban, Kovacic can sign permanently for Chelsea. However, Chelsea might not find it that easy to sign Kovacic because Inter Milan are also interested in signing him.
The Nerazzurri squad could do with some bolstering next season f they are to become contenders to win the Serie A. Kovacic’s addition could really help Inter Milan. Provided Inter do manage to sign Mateo Kovacic, the Croat will be united with his national teammates Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic.
