Insigne lashes out at Higuain for his behaviour

Lorenzo Insigne has hit out at Chelsea forward, Gonzalo Higuain for his treatment of Napoli teammates during his 3 years with the club.

The Argentine forward is currently on loan from Juventus but spent his best season with Maurizio Sarri in the Partenopei ranks. He broke his career record by scoring an incredible tally of 36 goals within a single season.

However, the time Higuain spent together with his colleagues was not exactly breezy either. Revealing the truth of the matter, Insigne said,  “I didn’t like his way of celebrating [after scoring against Napoli for Juventus]. Juventus move was a free choice, he was free to take it, of course.

“However, we crossed paths other times after that and never even once he came to greet us in the locker room, which would’ve been a natural gesture.

“This means that he also had a problem with us and not only the club, with his former team-mates who helped him get to 36 goals in a single season.”

Higuain could never exact the tally from the 2015/16 campaign and has only gathered 3 goals in 11 appearances for Chelsea this term. It is still a mystery whether he will stay at the Stamford Bridge beyond this season.
