Hazard's last game in England!

What was Chelsea’s biggest gain from winning the Champions League?

Yes of course it gave the old guard the legendary status they thoroughly deserved but it also allowed the club to win a major bidding war thanks to the silverware.

Eden Hazard of Lille back then was a hot property in Europe and no less than six top clubs were chasing the magical winger. Eden did his best to flirt with everyone before announcing that he would be joining the “European Champions”.

And there we had an indirect profit from winning the Champions League, the signing of Hazard. In the next seven years, he dazzled us and England and Europe with his out of the world first touch, his dribbling, his immaculate balance and his ability to change a game on its head more often than not.

However, ironically it would seem , Chelsea’s current inability to win the Champions League might be the reason Hazard leaves the club this month to join a club more probable of doing so in the current environment.

This would mean that tonight at Leicester, we would get to see the last of Hazard in a domestic league in England and boy will we miss him.
