Graham Potter has confirmed he informed Mason Mount he has a future at Chelsea, with the midfielder’s future up in the air

Mount’s deal is about to expire, and because negotiations for an extension have stalled, Liverpool and other Premier League teams have expressed interest in signing him. Although they remain hopeful of keeping Mount, Chelsea is aware that if the 24-year-old academy graduate continues to turn down their offers, they may be obliged to accept a sale in the summer.

In response to a question regarding Mount’s predicament, Potter praised the England international’s behaviour despite the concerns that existed behind the scenes during Friday’s press conference prior to the journey to Leicester.

The organisation and Mason must decide in the end, according to Potter. I frequently spoke with him about his circumstances, football, and life in general.

Potter responded, “Yes, but I am not naive. I have told Mount that I want the midfielder to remain. I am aware that he is in a critical period and that the deal is crucial. These decisions must be suitable for him and his family. It’s critical that he base his choice on that.

Manchester City, Manchester United, and Newcastle United are rumoured to be interested in Mount’s situation in addition to Liverpool, but Jurgen Klopp’s team at Anfield is best equipped to chase the midfielder in the summer. When the season ends, Liverpool will begin a midfield rebuild and sees Mount as a cost-effective acquisition who could support the acquisition of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, their top goal.
