Graham Potter insists he is not the problem at Chelsea

Chelsea lost 1-0 to Southampton last night.

Despite having 61% of possession and registering 17 shots on their home soil, Chelsea lost 1-0 to bottom-placed Southampton and the Saints have now done the double over the Blues this campaign.

This defeat means that Chelsea have won only two across their last 14 league encounters.

Graham Potter’s spell at Chelsea has been nothing short of a disaster following their exits in both FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

The Blues now sit 10th in the Premier League table and earned only ten points in their last 11 games.

Despite such lackluster performances, manager Graham Potter believes he is the right man for the job.

Potter told the Evening Standard: “After a 1-0 defeat at home, any criticism you get is understandable.

“I think we’ve had a tough period and I think we’ve had lots of challenges in terms of integrating young players into the Premier League. While results don’t go your way it can be tough, that is how it is.

“I’m sure there will be people out there that think I’m the problem, absolutely. I don’t think they’re right but I’m not arrogant enough to say their opinion isn’t worth articulating.
