Graham Potter has ample amount of time to settle in his new Chelsea office.

The former Brighton manager replaced Thomas Tuchel last month and Potter is ready to take charge of his first Premier League game for Chelsea.

Potter will now face a hectic schedule, his biggest concern at the moment.

“We’ve got six weeks and 13 matches,” he told reporters. “[I must] use the players the right way and win matches in the toughest league in the world. That’s the challenge in the short term.”

He was asked whether the long break was positive or negative.

“Probably a bit of both if I’m honest. I’m used to a bit of time to get to know people but at the same time we’re itching to play.

“We couldn’t control anything in terms of how things have panned out, we’ve had to make the most of it.”

The manager outlines his aim for the season.

He continued: “The resources, or history doesn’t guarantee you anything in this league. It’s about getting everything lined up and everyone working together and the strategy clear.”
