Graham Potter belives Chelsea are making positive steps

Chelsea have made some progress after the international break claims Potter.

The Blues won 3-0 against Wolves on Saturday afternoon marking Chelsea’s third win in a week.

Kai Havertz, Armando Broja and Christian Pulisic got on the scoresheet yesterday at Stamford Bridge.

Conor Gallagher also took out his chance brilliantly and had an impressive game in midfield.

Chelsea will now face AC Milan on Tuesday night at the San Siro for their return leg fixture against the Serie A giants.

“It’s exciting, it’s been a really strong week,” Potter told BBC Sport.

“It’s not easy, going Wednesday and Saturday. Credit to the players. It’s a strong performance, especially in the first half. We had to hang on a bit in the second half but overall we deserved to win.

He added: “The week we’ve just had has been fantastic. We’ve made steps with the group with how we’re acting. The attitude of players has been really good. Their effort to what we’ve been trying to do is fantastic. They’re a good group to work with.

“A happy afternoon.”
