Gonzalo Higuain is edging closer to a much anticipated reunion with Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea.
The Forward was pictured leaving for London where he is scheduled to have his medical before signing on the dotted line. The 31 year old will sign a short term contract till the end of the season in a bid to bail out Sarri who has been determined to land a new forward following the disappointing form of Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud since the start of this season.
With AC Milan opting to buy Krzysztof Piatek from Genoa Higuain doesn’t have any problems joining the Premier League outfit. Milan have agreed to pay £31m for the Polish international striker who would replace the outgoing Argentine forward.
Higuain inked a successful partnership with the current Chelsea manager during their time together at Napoli and would be hoping to replicate their success. The former Real Madrid hit man was on a season long loan from Juventus but now will spend the remainder of the season at the Stamford Bridge.
Milan have lent the player for a short term loan and there is also an option to extend it for a further one year if certain conditions are met.
