Giroud seeking Chelsea exit

When Chelsea signed Olivier Giroud from France almost two seasons ago, everyone thought here comes a bit part striker.

However, Giroud has gone and proven wrong. He outlasted Chelsea’s most expensive forward in Alvaro Morata and then Gonzalo Higuain.

However, with Chelsea costantly changing and chopping managers, Giroud has had to prove himself over and over again.

It was only last season that he finished as top scorer for Sarri’s Chelsea in the Europa League overall.

However, Lampard has gone towards the youth and now Giroud has finally accepted that he is fighting a losing battle despite all his efforts. He is most likely about to leave in January.

“It will be difficult to stay at Chelsea,” Giroud told La Dauphine Libere.

“I’m going to have a chat with the coach. Chances are, there will be a change because I don’t have enough time to express myself on the pitch.”

“For the moment, I am a Chelsea player. I still have some games to play here before the transfer window opens,” he added.

“Then we will sit around a table and find the best decision for me. France is one of the possible solutions.”
