Chelsea have a healthy competition going on between Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.
The two strikers have been on good form starting up front for the Blues.
Olivier Giroud has scored 5 goals in his last two starts for Chelsea and Tammy Abrahm has scored or assisted in his last 4 starts for the clubs.
The two center forwards are big and have become the focal point of a creative attacking system around which runners like Ziyech and Werner are thriving at the moment.
Although only one between Giroud and Abraham can start, Mount believes the competition is actually good for the squad as it helps improve the whole team to a new level.
“Oli has five goals in two games now so he’s in unbelievable form and that’s what we need from the whole squad,” Mount told the club’s website.
“Obviously Tammy has been doing brilliantly and then Oli comes in for the Champions League, scores four goals and now he’s scored again.
“That’s what we need because that competition for places keeps everyone at a high level. It’s what the gaffer always goes on about.
“We’re in a good position but we need to keep working hard, keep the standards high and keep winning games.”
