Olivier Giroud has realised that his time at Chelsea is up.
The former Arsenal striker joined the club back in 2018 as a back up striker. However, in two years he gave the club his absolute professional best.
Moreover, his Chelsea span coincided with his best national form and run of glory as France won the world cup with Giroud leading the line.
Back at Chelsea he backed it up with an impressive season under Sarri despite getting limited chances.
He scored the most goals in the Europa League for Chelsea as he led the club to another European trophy. He capped it off by scoring the opener in the final as well.
Now with Frank’s youth system in place, the experienced Giroud is out of chances at Chelsea and is looking at new challenges.Â
It was met by rumors that Steven Gerrard’s Scottish side Rangers are chasing his signature.Â
Here is what Gerrard had to say about the rumored transfer.
He said: “We are getting linked with some good players. I don’t know anything about it, to be honest.
“If someone knows something about it, give them my number. That’s the first I’ve heard of it.
“He’s a good player, though.”
