Lukaku has scored once in three games since returning to Tuchel’s side.
Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has offered Romelu Lukaku advice on how to win back the fans. Lukaku joined the Blues from Inter Milan last summer and two weeks ago, he made few statements about the club.
He admitted in an interview that he’s not happy at Chelsea and he also questioned Tuchel’s tactics. Lukaku earned the trust of Tuchel after missing out Liverpool game.
Now former Blues defender Gallas told Genting Casino, “I don’t think it was very clever for him to speak about Tuchel and his tactics. Players have to be very careful about what they say. There is so much media interest in absolutely everything.
“He has received his punishment and learned from it. The most important thing is how he responds.
“He has to be focussed and ready for his team. He needs to start scoring goals for Chelsea.”
Gallas won two Premier League titles with Chelsea and suggested he needs to follow it up with more regular goals.
He also said, “The people at Chelsea will only forgive if he starts performing at the level we have come to expect from him.
“Chelsea fans will not forget what he said unless he starts scoring goals and delivering match-winning performances.
“When you’re [a top player] you have to adapt to any system and you have to score goals. That’s what is expected from you.”
The Belgian striker has scored once in three games since returning to Tuchel’s side. He scored in Chelsea’s FA Cup victory.
