Chelsea are interested in signing winger Anthony Gordon this summer.

The Blues have reportedly offered £50million up front plus £10m in add-ons for the 21-year-old winger after their bid of £40m got rejected earlier this month.

Everton boss Frank Lampard has revealed Chelsea’s interest in the player and Gordon himself is pushing for a move to Stamford Bridge.

Personal terms would not be a problem but a deal with both the clubs is not imminent.

Pundit Gabby Agbonlahor is battled as to why Everton are letting the youngster leave this summer.

He said: “First of all I think it’s strange for Everton to even think of selling him, but when you talk about this amount of money you have to sell him.

“For me he’s a £30million, £40million at most, player… it’s hard to see where £60million has come from.

“If Everton, who need a number nine, can get £60million, or if they can get £50million and maybe [Armando] Broja on loan it’s definitely worth doing.

“It’s just strange from Chelsea, because they need a number nine. They’ve got wingers… Is Gordon going to change them from a wide point of view? Not for me.”
