Frank Lampard is really proud of Mason Mount’s career with Chelsea.
The former Blues manager has a close relationship with Mount as he gave the England international his first chance at Chelsea.
The Chelsea academy product has emerged as one of the best midfielders in the modern era and have been massively influential for the Blues.
Chelsea’s 3-0 win against Leeds has left Jesse March’s side in the relegation zone but it also helped Everton who are currently languishing just above the relegation zone.
Lampard said: “I’ll send him [Mason Mount] a message later of thanks.
“Those things are out of your hands but Mason’s a fantastic player and I’m pleased for him that he’s getting those numbers because he is a player of such a high level and those numbers reflect it.
“It’s brilliant for him and Chelsea did us a favour getting that result, but we have to make sure we do our own thing to get this over the line.”
