Frank Lampard Wants To Sell 8 Chelsea Players

Frank Lampard wants to hold a clearout sale at Chelsea next summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The 42-year-old was limited with his options this season due to a transfer ban set upon them.

He got to test out the current bunch of players and have already recognized the ones not good enough for the future. Kepa Arrizibalaga is one of the first names to enter the for-sale list. The Spaniard arrived on a record transfer of £71.2m with huge expectations behind his back.

It was never the right fit from the start and his performances have dipped to woeful levels this season. Lampard has been forced to deploy 38-year-old Willy Cabellero in between the posts to replace Kepa. His compatriot, Marcos Alonso can follow him out the door as well along with Emerson Palmieri. The left-back duo has been so poor that Lampard has chosen to go with Cesar Azpilicueta at the left-back position.

Ross Barkley and Jorginho could face the axe too while Willian, Pedro and Kurt Zouma are to be further assessed. Lampard came to this conclusing after Chelsea’s got thrashed 3-0 at home by Bayern Munich. He understands that in order to improve the current squad, he will have to trim out all the fat. Only then will the Blues be able to add better players.
