Great news for Chelsea – Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic is back!
Frank Lampard revealed that both players will be available for selection
“Christian Pulisic is back in,” said Lampard, with the forward missing over a month worth of games due to a hamstring issue, “Kai Havertz was getting some minutes the other week.”
Havertz had to spend time in isolation after testing positive for the Coronavirus. Now that he is available, it will be interesting to see what lineup Lampard chooses on Sunday.
Having both of them back is a great plus for this weekend’s fixture. Tottenham are in blinding form right now, beating Manchester City 2-0 last week and shooting up to the table summit.
Havertz has not settled in seamlessly into the Chelsea team but he has had positive moments. The German international scored his first-ever hat-trick in a League Cup tie against Barnsley and has 7 overall goal contributions in 11 games so far.
Pulisic made a big impact last season, quickly becoming their most dangerous option going forward. Unfortunately, for a probing hamstring issue, he has been unable to break into this new Chelsea side and really continue on his brilliant form.
He could offer a great deal off the benches this weekend even he does not start. Currently, Chelsea’s frontline of Tammy Abraham, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech are performing well together and seems to be their best setup in attack.
