Frank Lampard does not regret taking up the Chelsea job even with his lack of experience.
Many questioned his appointment early on but were answered back with Champions League football last term.
After a summer of heavy spending, the Blues team don’t look as lethal as one expected them to be. Those same questions are simmering once again.
When asked if he had any doubts over filling the Stamford Bridge hot seat, Lampard replied, “I’m certainly very pleased. I’m proud to manage this club every day. I saw a club that I love.
“Never a doubt in my mind. I loved last season, the challenges it brought on every level and finishing in the top four. We now want to move on to further levels. I love that challenge every day. I made the right decision.”
Chelsea sit tenth on the Premier League table after their 0-0 draw against Manchester United. This season has got off to a rollercoaster ride in England with plenty of surprise results showing up every gameweek.
Chelsea are, of course, still finding their groove as a team with Lampard figuring his way out of a mess. Defensively there are still a few prominent issues to address.
