The upcoming season will be a tough hurdle for Chelsea given the fact that they have been banned from making transfers this summer and winter. Having lost Eden Hazard to Real Madrid and Maurizio Sarri to Juventus, the Blues have handed coaching reins to former player and legend Frank Lampard.

As the Englishman gets ready to embark on a new yet tough season at the Stamford Bridge, former club striker Tony Cascarino has advised him to hold on to four young guns at the Stamford Bridge.

According to him, Lampard should place his trust in Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Fikayo Tomori and give them adequate playing time, now that the Blues have been banned from buying new players.

He said,

“I’ll be interested in what Frank does with someone like [Fikayo] Tomori, who he had at Derby, who was a Chelsea loanee to Derby last year.”

“If you asked most Derby fans, he was their best player last year. I think it will be interesting on Mason Mount, what he does with Mason Mount.

“He’s got [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek, he’s got [Callum] Hudson-Odoi. So he’s got lots and lots of good players at his football club.”
