Tyrique George is prepared to quit Chelsea in January. According to insiders, he is dissatisfied with his lack of playing time under Enzo Maresca and would want to leave Stamford Bridge permanently.

Maresca gave the Camden-born winger his major break in the Chelsea first team last season, as he essentially took Raheem Sterling’s spot in the starting lineup. During his breakthrough season, he made 26 appearances in all competitions.

However, the 19-year-old has fallen back in the manager’s plans due to his inability to get going this season. He has only made two starts in the League Cup and two in the Champions League, and he has only accumulated a pitiful 143 minutes off the bench in the Premier League thus far.

George has not started in the league despite being a fixture on the Blues bench. Summer newcomers Estevao, Jamie Gittens, and Alejandro Garnacho have all surpassed him in the hierarchy.

Frustrated Chelsea winger ready to leave

The Toffees were among George’s admirers, according to sources in the summer, but their interest in the Chelsea player waned after they added Tyler Dibling and Jack Grealish. Even though George is still a player that Everton is interested in, David Moyes is not expected to prioritise him in January. For the time being, the Toffees are concentrating on other positions, such as full-back, midfield, and striker.

Leeds, on the other hand, are open to adding a creative player who can play as a No. 10 or on the right wing in order to bolster their roster. However, George’s preferred role is as a left-sided star, which might work against him because Daniel Farke has plenty of coverage in that area.

We can confirm that Southampton is one of the teams interested in a potential transfer if they can convince him to join the Championship and aid in their return to the Premier League. The Saints’ management plans to release funds in January in an effort to maintain the momentum that has propelled them back into the promotion race in recent weeks.
