Fiorentina Won't Accept Chelsea Players In Exchange For Federico Chiesa

Chelsea’s hopes of bringing in a replacement for Willian and Pedro are still uncertain.

There are several candidates Frank Lampard is considering based on their market value and Chelsea’s summer transfer budget.

There is no doubt that the ongoing health crisis will impact Chelsea’s spendings, as it can with all other clubs. Going all out on a marquee signing like Jadon Sancho seems less than likely in the current scenario. Which is why Federico Chiesa is a name that has popped up on Chelsea’s radar.

The 22-year-old is a prominent figure in the Serie A, having impressed since his debut with Fiorentina. He mostly operates from the right flank and could offer a different dynamic to the wide positions. Unfortunately for Chelsea, the Violas are not willing to accept any players in exchange. They have put up an asking price of €70m and unwilling to deter very far from their quote.

Chiesa is tipped to be one of the next-generation Italian stars and he is ready to make the step up in his career. Of course, he will be fighting for playing time alongside Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic and Ziyech at West London. Lampard will have a long way of convincing Chiesa to make the switch, other than coming up with his transfer fee.
