Chelsea shortlists two possible replacements for Mauricio Pochettino

Jhon Duran of Aston Villa is supposedly close to joining Chelsea, although the Blues are apparently still exploring alternative options. Duran is reportedly eager to go. This is according to Fabrizio Romano on X, who notes that although negotiations to bring Duran to Stamford Bridge have been ongoing, it is evident that a deal has not yet been finalised.

The Italian journalist commented on X, saying: “Chelsea is expected to make a decision on the Jhon Duran situation soon, after talks over a swap deal with Aston Villa.” Duran’s representatives have already held discussions with Chelsea about his desire to leave, but the team is also exploring other alternatives for a new striker.

Jhon Duran already told Chelsea as his dream transfer

Football.london knows that Villa is open to selling the striker this summer and that the Blues have recently communicated with the 20-year-old’s entourage. But it would only apply if a team made an offer for Duran that was in the range of £40–45 million.

Chelsea will make every effort to lower that price, but Villa will not take anything less at this time, according to sources. Although personal terms have not been extensively considered yet, it is not anticipated that this specific component would be a problem.

As Duran said almost five months prior, he would be thrilled to relocate to Stamford Bridge. “I am not aware of any interest from Chelsea or AC Milan, but as a child, you dream of playing there,” he said, “and they are giant clubs, and it would be a pleasure.”
