Chelsea co-owners Clearlake and Boehly could look to buy each other out.

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca is making his full focus on the current campaign. He is not taking interest in current struggle between Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

Boehly and Behdad Eghbali‘s Clearlake have been co-owners for two seasons after completing a takeover from Roman Abramovich in the summer of 2022.

Chelsea showed great intent in last two summer transfer windows and invested a huge amount in it. They recently signed Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. They also off-loaded few players ahead of the new season.

As per reports, Clearlake and Boehly could look to buy each other out. However, neither party are seemingly keen to relinquish their stake in the club.

Eghbali’s Clearlake has majority of the stakes with 61.5%, while the remaining 38.5% is equally split between Boehly, Mark Walter and Hansjorg Wyss.

Ahead of the Premier League showdown, Maresca insisted he is focused on matters on the pitch. He said, “If I spend my energy on something different then it’s not worth it, my focus is on tomorrow’s game to be honest,”

“In the last week I’ve done the same thing, focus on the game and how to prepare in the best way. The other things are things I cannot control. I spoke with Todd when we played City and Behdad just days ago; I’m speaking with both, there’s no problems at all. I’m focused on the pitch.

“The players are professional to understand that these things are things we can’t control so the focus is the pitch, the way we need to improve. I don’t know if something will happen, I have no idea.”

Maresca’s squad will make return to Premier League action on Saturday with a clash against Bournemouth. They are currently sitting at the 11th in the table.
