Chelsea left back Emerson Palmieri has backed the Blues academy graduate and youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek to become one of the best midfield players in the world of football.
“When we play together we’ve developed and understanding,” he told Football London.
“We can play the ball without looking at each other.
“Ruben, for me, will become one of the most important footballers in the world because he’s a central midfielder who has everything.
“He is strong, quick, he knows how to defend and how to attack – he is a great player who will become even better.”
Emerson’s special praise sure does come in line with RLC’s latest exploits on the pitch. The 23 year old player has been performing superbly in recent matches. He has scored goals from midfield and is a strong physical presence.
RLC himself admitted recently that he wants to use this form to earn himself a spot for the Three Lions.
He said: “I am focussed on the now and hoping (for England) in the future. The way you get in the England squad is doing well for your club.”
“England is a by-product of what you’re doing. My focus is all on Chelsea and playing well when I get the opportunity. If you do well, you have every chance of being called up to England.”
