Edouard Mendy stated that all the goalkeepers are together at the Chelsea game.
Frank Lampard brought in the 28-year-old from Stade Rennais F.C. this summer.
It was a move that everyone saw coming after the disastrous season we all experienced from Kepa Arrizabalaga. Despite his hefty price tag, the Spaniard has failed to meet expectations in the Premier League.
Mendy has come and looked much more solid in between the posts. He saw Chelsea through a clean sheet against Sevilla on Tuesday night. He still maintains his stance that everyone back at the Blues camp are unified over the team’s objectives, including him and Kepa.
“I have a very good relationship with Kepa,” Mendy said. “The group of goalkeepers we have, we’re all very open and all of us understand the team is the most important thing here and doing what is right for the group.
“Our relationships are all very good, we work well together and we’re pushing each other every day to improve ourselves and improve each other. We know as goalkeepers we have to stay unified and united and that is what is happening at the moment.”
Chelsea face Manchester United next on Saturday. They lost against Ole Solskjaer’s men both times in the Premier League last term.
