Chelsea star Eden hazard has said that his body is feeling ‘wear and tear’ due to the tackles defenders have made on him throughout his career.
The Belgian also said that he is prepared to be on the receiving end of those tackles if it is to help his team winning the match.
Hazard started in Chelsea’s Europa League match against BATE after missing out the last three games due to a back injury.
Hazard played 62 minutes in that match and the BATE defenders made several tackles and challenges on him.
Eden Hazard has faced a few injuries in the last few years. Last year, he had issues with his calf and underwent surgery on his ankle. The year before, he missed 6 weeks of action due to a hip injury.
Hazard said about his injuries, “I’m 27 now and starting to get older, so I have to take more care of my body. I am feeling the wear and tear. I have been playing football as a professional for more than 10 years. It is part of the game, I guess.
I am not happy with being kicked to be fair but it’s part of football. The referee tries to do his job and I try to do mine. I guess when I am on the floor I can win free-kicks, so every free-kick is a chance to score more goals.”
Hazard might start for Chelsea in today’s Premier League fixture against Everton.
