Chelsea star Eden Hazard has said that if Chelsea do not maintain possession, then manager Maurizio Sarri can go crazy.

Maurizio Sarri joined Chelsea this summer after the sacking of Antonio Conte. Last season, Chelsea won the FA Cup but could not secure a Champions League berth. Hence, Conte got fired.

Sarri’s first game in-charge of Chelsea ended in a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield. However, that is the only match that Chelsea have lost under Sarri so far.

Chelsea are unbeaten in the Premier League so far. Out of 8 matches, the Blues have won 6 while drawing 2.

Sarri’s footballing philosophy termed ‘Sarriball’ has also gained immense popularity. Many have praised the Italian’s possession-oriented attacking playing style including Hazard.

Hazard said, “This season, we have more the ball. Sarri is different from Conte and (Jose) Mourinho. If you don’t have the ball for five minutes, he goes crazy.”

Sarri’s attack-oriented game has benefited Hazard immensely. In 8 Premier League games, Hazard has scored 7 goals. All in all, the Belgium captain has 8 goals from 10 matches across all competitions this season.

When asked if he thinks himself as the best player in the world, Hazard replied, “Am I the best player in the world? If the best player in the world is the one who scores the most goals, I’m not the best.”

Following the international break, Chelsea take on Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
