Former Chelsea star Eden Hazard has said that his favorite goal for the club is the equaliser he scored against Tottenham in 2016 that confirmed Leicester City as the Champions of the 2015-16 Premier League.

Undoubtedly one of Chelsea’s all-time greats, Hazard joined the club from Lille in 2012 on a transfer fee reported to be £32 million.

Hazard since went on to make 352 appearances for the Blues, scoring 110 goals and registering 92 assists.

During his spell at Chelsea, the Belgium international won 6 trophies that included two Premier League titles, two Europa League titles, an FA Cup title and a League Cup title.

Hazard’s stint at Chelsea also saw him win several individual accolades like the Premier League Player of the Season for the 2014-15 season and the Premier League Playmaker of the Season last season. The winger was adjudged Chelsea’s Player of the Year for four seasons including last season. He was also in the UEFA Team of the Year in the last two years.

Hazard scored 110 goals for Chelsea and while stating that goals scored in away games against Liverpool and Arsenal are among his favorites, his favorite goal in a Blue shirt was the equaliser against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on May 2, 2016.

Hazard said: “With Chelsea against Tottenham, at home when Leicester won the league. Against Liverpool away, against Arsenal at home. Yeah, I have a few good goals, but wait the best is coming.”

The 2015-16 season was Chelsea’s worst in this century without a shadow of a doubt. The Blues finished the Premier League in 10th position, their worst finish since the 11th place finish in the 1995-96 season.

However, Chelsea played a key role in Leicester City winning the League that season. Playing against Spurs at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea needed to prevent a win for their rivals so that Leicester could win the league.

Goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung-min put Spurs 2-0 up by half-time. However, Chelsea fought back with Gary Cahill pulling one back in the 58th minute. Then, with only 7 minutes remaining on the clock, Hazard received a pass from Diego Costa and beautifully curled it into the back of the net past Spurs goalie Hugo Lloris to equalise for Chelsea and win the league title for Leicester City.

Hazard made his debut for Real Madrid last night against Bayern Munich in Houston, Texas. However, Real lost the match 3-1 with their only goal being scored by new signing Rodrygo.
