Former Chelsea player Eden Hazard has claimed that his season at Real Madrid has been the worst yet.
And he vows that he shall return to Chelsea very soon. Hazard has not had a great year with the La Liga giants in terms of injuries and also form – even though he won the La Liga title this year with them.
“We have won the title collectively this year, considering it has certainly been the worst season of my career individually,” Hazard said in an interview with franceinfo.
“When I finish here I’ll come back,” Hazard told businessman and Chelsea fan Frank Khalid in December 2019.
Asked if he watches the Blues’ matches, Hazard responded: “Yeah, when I can I watch. Not all the time.
Although Hazard hasn’t been very happy at Real Madrid, he doesn’t hate everything about it either.
“Karim Benzema is very friendly and down-to-earth. He’s here to score goals and win matches. I think he’s shown once again this year that he’s quite simply the best,” Hazard said.
“We all know what Zidane was like as a player; he was the best. There’s no longer any need to describe him as a coach. He’s proven in the space of just a few years that he’s already one of the best,” Hazard said.
