Hazard left for the Spanish giants back in summer.
But he vows to make a sensational comeback one day.
Eden Hazard has been filmed promising a Chelsea fan he will return to Stamford Bridge after his contract at Real Madrid ends. The Belgium international left the Blues for the Bernabeu in June after seven years in London – but obviously has his eye on a return to his former club in the future.
After a dismal 1-0 home defeat to Bournemouth this morning, Chelsea has now lost four of their last five Premier League matches. What they wouldn’t give to have Hazard back… The 28-year-old told a Chelsea fan “when I finish here I will come back.” And he is keeping up with the exploits of his former teammates, apparently.
“When I can I watch. Not all the time. They are doing well, they are young. Now they can pay for players, they can buy players now.”
The Blues are looking to make a splash in the transfer market having had their transfer ban lifted, with Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and Atletico Madrid’s defensive midfielder Saul Niguez both on their shopping list. But if they can be patient, they might just have their former star in Eden Hazard back. “I do my job here and then I come back,” he said.
Hazard’s contract at Madrid ends in 2024, so the Blues will have some time to wait.
