Chelsea’s season has unravelled dramatically under Rosenior. The Blues suffered a crushing 8-2 aggregate defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League round of 16.
Their domestic form offers little comfort either. Chelsea have lost four straight Premier League matches without scoring a single goal.
This dismal run leaves them seven points adrift of fifth place with only five games remaining. A top-five finish now looks like a miracle.

The newspaper also reveals that Atletico Madrid icon Diego Simeone is now the ‘favourite’ to take over if BlueCo lose their nerve and part ways with Rosenior.
Simeone, 55, would represent a fascinating appointment for several reasons. He remains a god-like figure at Atletico Madrid, making it difficult to imagine him managing elsewhere.
His ultra-negative tactical approach has nevertheless served his side brilliantly for over a decade. Simeone also holds the title of the world’s highest-paid manager.
During his remarkable reign at Atletico, Simeone has guided the club to two LaLiga titles, a Copa del Rey, a Spanish Super Cup, two Europa Leagues and two UEFA Super Cups.
His teams have also reached two Champions League finals. This season, Atletico have advanced past Barcelona into the semi-finals of Europe’s elite competition.
The Sun’s assessment of Rosenior’s future remains curiously mixed. They declare that Rosenior is ‘facing the sack’ following Chelsea’s horrific form.
Yet later in the same piece, they stress that BlueCo are ‘still backing Rosenior for now’.
