Defensor Trevoh Chalobah will join Crystal Palace on loan, as per their agreement with Chelsea. Before joining Selhurst Park for the balance of the 2024–25 season, the center back will have a medical examination. Although Palace paid an undisclosed sum to acquire the defender, the agreement is merely a loan with no purchase obligation.
Trevoh Chalobah is close to leaving Chelsea to join Crystal Palace on a temporary loan, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic. The Chelsea utility player, 25, was being closely watched by the Eagles on deadline day, and they are now moving close to adding the defender to their roster. Following a flurry of conjecture about Marc Guehi’s future, Crystal Palace was expected to be busy on deadline day. In the meantime, Selhurst Park will host their star defender.
Crystal Palace’s Newest Defensive Addition Trevoh Chalobah
Having recently signed a new long-term contract with Chelsea last year, Chalobah, 25, is starting a new chapter at Selhurst Park. He joins players like Ismaila Sarr and Daichi Kamada as Crystal Palace’s sixth summer addition following his move. Particularly when Joachim Andersen left for Fulham, Crystal Palace needed defensive reinforcement, which is why this strategic acquisition was made.
The defender was connected to several teams, Palace being one of them at one point, and now Palace has signed him to a season-long loan from Chelsea. There is no buyout option or commitment under the contract; the Eagles will provide the Blues a loan fee.
