Crystal Palace identify Chelsea defender as potential replacement for Marc Guehi

Crystal Palace will consider making a move for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.

Chelsea defender is on the radar of Crystal Palace as a potential replacement for in-demand star Marc Guehi. The Eagles consider him the suitable option for the 24-year-old.

The Englishman started his career at Chelsea and has developed into an important first-team player for Crystal Palace since joining the club three seasons ago.

His impressive show helped him to earn a place in the England squad for Euro 2024 earlier this summer.  The centre-back was a breakout performer as England progressed to the final.

Guehi is heavily linked with top clubs in the Premier League.  Newcastle United is believed to be leading the race for his signature.

A recent report adds that Newcastle are set to make an improved offer for Guehi and he is valued in excess of £60m. According to the Daily Telegraph, they will consider making a move for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.

The 25-year-old was left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour to the US earlier this summer. Chelsea are thought to value him at around £25m.

Chalobah still has four years remaining on the Blues contract. He extended his contract less than two years ago. He rejected the chance to join Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal last year.
