Cristiano Ronaldo could ruin his legacy if he joins Chelsea

Cristiano Ronaldo has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea.

The Portuguese star has intended his desire to leave Old Trafford this summer even though United refuses to sell him.

The Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League as they finished sixth in the Premier League last season.

He was the club’s highest goalscorer last season with 24 goals to his name.

According to reports, Ronaldo refused to travel with the team for their pre-season tour in Bangkok.

He even missed their pre-season training on Monday and Tuesday.

Liverpool legend Steve McManaman claims it would be scandalous if Ronaldo joins Chelsea.

“I’d be amazed if he went to Chelsea. Amazed,” McManaman told HorseRacing.Net.

“I can’t see him going to another English team. I just cannot see it happening.

“It’ll spoil his legacy after everything he has done at Manchester United.

“PSG don’t need Ronaldo. It just muddies the water.

“It might be a newspaper writer’s dream to have Messi and Ronaldo in the same team three months before the Qatar World Cup but, come on, it just seems nonsensical.”
