Ashley Cole has opened up on his days of football for Chelsea and Arsenal.
Asked about his move to Chelsea, Cole agreed it was naive but admitted that it was something that was meant to be.
“I was young, naive, stupid, but it was something I felt I had to do. The way I acted I was a little bit stubborn at the time. Maybe I should have sat down with a few more people at the time and gone through it with an ice-cool head.”
“I was a bit hot-headed and didn’t realise what I was doing at the time but I don’t regret it. When I look back now I think it was something that was maybe meant to happen.”
Cole went on to win all club level trophies in Europe and England with Chelsea but has however admitted that his favourite trophy was the first league title he won with Arsenal.
“Being a young kid from east London where I grow up to play for my boyhood club Arsenal and then get a chance to win a Premier League medal, I think that’s the first one that I enjoyed [the most] and that’s probably No 1 on my medal list,” he said on Sky Sports.
