Chelsea produced one of their best matches this season under Frank Lampard in the UEFA Champions League this season.
The Blues were struggling on third place in the group and produced a big win on an important away night at Ajax.
They controlled the attacking and dangerous Ajax side and kept a clean sheet while scoring a crucial goal to collect all 3 points.
And now, Joe Cole has praised the vibe at Chelsea under Lampard.
“It was a top class performance and certainly Frank’s best performance since he went over,” Cole said on BT Sport.
“From being in and around the club it just feels right.
“Players who may have felt pushed aside or unsure of their future, they are now producing big moments for the club and it is credit to Frank and his staff.
“It is really looking good at Chelsea.
“As players you want to know what is expected and what your role is,” he added.
“It seems that every game they play they get better and better. For a team like Ajax, not many teams go there, control possession and keep the ball as well as [Chelsea] did.
“They were excellent tonight.”
