Christian Pulisic Handed Number Ten Jersey At Chelsea

Christian Pulisic will be taking over the number ten jersey at Chelsea.

After Eden Hazard, it was Willian who sported the number for one season before leaving for Arsenal himself.

Now, Pulisic has proven to be the rightful successor to both veterans. He showcased ridiculous creative abilities through his bursting runs through heavy opposition traffic. The American finished the 2019/20 season with 21 goal contributions in 34 games.

Even with prominent figures coming in this summer like Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, Pulisic will remain an important part of Lampard’s revolution at Stamford Bridge. Callum Hudson-Odoi has not impressed much to warrant a starting spot right away and veterans, Willian and Pedro has left the club.

Much of the creativity and attacking prowess will come from Pulisic, who Chelsea signed for £56m in January 2019. Of course, he will have plenty of help this term from intelligent playmakers like Havertz and Ziyech next to him, both of whom are mavericks of their own on the pitch.

Timo Werner will also be contributing to the front line with his goals while Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham serves as a backup or alternative force. Overall, fans are massively happy with the transfer business Chelsea have carried out at the back of a season-long transfer ban. Pulisic looks to be their attacking talisman for years to come.
