Christensen ended talks to extend his contract at Chelsea amid Barca links

Barca will only make a move for Christensen if they fail to sign Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Blues centre-back Andreas Christensen has allegedly ended talks to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge. He was linked with Barcelona for a January move.

He has just six months left in his current contract and the 25-year-old is at risk of leaving the club for free next summer.

AS per the reports of Sport, Christensen has told Chelsea that he will make a decision over his future in January. He is looking for a potential switch to Camp Nou.

The report also adds that Barca have been in talks with the Denmark international for several months. Catalan giants will only make a move to sign Blues defender if they fail to sign Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Christensen has played for more than 8 years and achieved glory with the club. Denmark centre-back is also being closely monitored by Chelsea’s league-rivals Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Meanwhile, he is also on the radar of Juventus, AC Milan and Bayern Munich.

Christensen has made 145 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, winning four trophies including last season’s Champions League victory.
