In advance of his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea-bound Estevao Willian has offered the Blues another encouragement. Last June, Chelsea agreed to make a quick move to sign Estevao from Brazilian team Palmeiras on a long-term contract. The Blues agreed to an initial cost of £29 million, which may increase to £55 million with add-ons. This summer, the 17-year-old is expected to formally finalize his move to west London.
Chelsea beat out a number of teams, including Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain, to sign Estevao, who has been regarded as one of the best football prospects in the world.
The teenager will formally join the Blues squad this summer following the FIFA Club World Cup, having already scored 20 goals and provided 10 assists for Palmeiras’ first team. The 17-year-old Estevao’s market worth has risen once more ahead of his transfer to Stamford Bridge. Transfermarkt valued Estevao at €30 million (£25 million) when Chelsea finalized the transaction in June of last year, but that figure has now risen sharply.
Chelsea-bound forward’s valuation doubles
According to CIES Football Observatory, which frequently publishes updates on player values based on intricate statistical models, Estevao’s value has skyrocketed from €30 million to €60 million in the last six months, making Chelsea’s deal appear much sweeter.
Samu Aghehowa (formerly known as Samu Omorodion) has seen his value soar by €39 million to €68.6 million, the only player to benefit more from players playing in leagues outside of Europe’s top five.
Chelsea supporters will be thrilled with Estevao’s great performances, though, especially because Enzo Maresca’s team has struggled in 2025. The Blues were rumored to be outside title candidates and had at one point risen to second place in the Premier League standings, seemingly settling into life under the Italian rather nicely.
With four senior international caps already earned for Brazil, Estevao’s quality will be a welcome addition for 2025–2026.
