According to Max Eberl, sports director of Bayern Munich, the team would seek to take Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson on loan. After Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap and Brighton’s Joao Pedro joined in the summer, Jackson’s position at Stamford Bridge declined.
After serving a suspension for the season opener against Crystal Palace, the Senegal international was left out of Enzo Maresca’s team for the subsequent trip to West Ham United. In the meanwhile, Delap has played in both games, and Pedro has scored once and assisted twice.
As a result, Chelsea is letting Jackson go and is still awaiting his return before moving on with its plans to sign Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho before the deadline on Monday. Fortunately for the Blues, their European rivals Bayern could be willing to assist them in this endeavor.
At this point, it’s uncertain if Bayern would agree to include a buy obligation or option in any future loan agreement. Although a permanent sale would be ideal for Chelsea, this would only be a short-term solution because there would not be much time left in the market.
Bayern closing in on deal with Chelsea for Nicolas Jackson
Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany has reported that a transaction involving Nicolas Jackson is nearing completion between Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
Plettenberg really stated that “Nicolas Jackson is set for a loan move to FC Bayern” to characterize the current state of affairs. Following several days of conjecture, it seems that Bayern Munich and Chelsea have sorted out all the specifics, including Bayern’s readiness to pay Jackson’s whole salary, which is thought to be around €7 million:
According to rumors, Bayern Munich agreed to personal terms with Jackson earlier today, making significant progress in their pursuit of the star. However, if Chelsea FC were to release the Senegalese attacker, it was reported that they would still want a long-term contract.
According to a report by Rahman Osman (which was captured by the @iMiaSanMia Twitter account), Jackson’s entourage was in London to help close the deal. However, another report by Florian Plettenberg contradicted the first one, claiming that Premier League clubs are prowling and that Bayern is still at odds with both the player and the club.
