Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Arsenal duo Reiss Nelson and Matteo Guendouzi, Everton’s Moise Kean, Man City wonder-kid Phil Foden and Watford’s Tom Dele-Bashiru have all made it to the shortlist.

The Golden Boy award was established in 2003 and is open to players under the age of 21. It has been won by two Englishmen in the past. Wayne Rooney won it in 2004 and Raheem Sterling in 2014. It is voted for by 40 journalists from 11 newspapers across Europe.
