Chelsea youngster is reportedly close to signing a new contract with Chelsea to commit his future to the west London club. According to reports, Hudson-Odoi’s new contract is set to earn around £180,000 a week at Stamford Bridge.
The 18-year-old was frustrated last season by the lack of first-team opportunities under Sarri and was close to completing a move to Bayern. Bayern made three bids for the youngster but it looks like Lampard’s arrival made the youngster stay.
Hudson-Odoi is recovering from an Achilles problem he picked up last season and hasn’t played a single game this season. But Lampard has put faith in several academy graduates since his return to Chelsea and CHO showed last season that he’s got what it takes to play a key role for the club’s first team in the near future.
He could make his return on Friday with him potentially playing a part in Chelsea’s U23 side against Brighton. He’s expected to be back available for the first team this month.
With just a year left on his existing contract, Hudson-Odoi will allegedly earn £180,000 per week until 2023-24 season in his new contract.
– Victor Moses looks highly unlikely to stay at Fenerbahce at the end of his loan.
