Callum Hudson-Odoi has been tipped to take up Eden Hazard’s spot over Chelsea’s latest signing, Christian Pulisic.
talkSPORT host, Micky Gary believes that the teenager is currently a better player than Pulisic after the performances he put up last season. Hudson-Odoi had broken into the Blues first last term before an unfortunate Achilles injury halted his progression into being a cemented starter.
“Hudson-Odoi, if he stays at Chelsea. Personally, at the moment, I think he’s a better player than Pulisic,” Gray told the Sports Bar. “I’ve seen him play six or seven times, and, yes, he’s got some nice ability.
“I think he’s raw, and I don’t think he’s ready to play every single week in the Premier League.”
The winger’s contract is due to end after a year but Chelsea are confident he will extend his stay at the Stamford Bridge.
One of Chelsea’s former strikers, Tony Cascarino also believes that the Blues have a better squad than their London rivals, Arsenal for the upcoming campaign. He said,
“Frank’s got a better squad than Arsenal. He’s going to have to be expected to finish in front of Arsenal and you could argue get in the top four as well.
“People are looking at it and saying maybe they won’t get that and they should sacrifice this season, but I don’t believe for one second Chelsea Football Club will do that.”
