Chelsea winger keen to hold showdown talks with the club's board

There is no guarantee that the Englishman will choose to leave Chelsea.

Chelsea is likely to sell out their premium winger who is having a talk with other clubs. Raheem Sterling is keen to hold showdown talks with club’s board before making a decision over his future.

The Englishman was part of Chelsea’s pre-season camp and played each game. The 29-year-old was supposed to feature in the opening game of the Premier League against his former club Man City but he was dropped.

Player’s representatives requested “clarity” over the decision made by Chelsea boss, despite several reports suggesting that Sterling was informed on Friday. Maresca acknowledged that he is not in a position to name every player in his squad.

According to Sky Sports News journalist Kaveh Solhekol, there is no guarantee that the Englishman will choose to leave the club. Sterling still has three years left in his contract. He is linked with Juventus and some Saudi Pro League clubs.

The former City striker is currently settled in London so he can choose the club based in London.
