Chelsea have reached an agreement to send winger Mykhailo Mudryk on a season-long loan to Tottenham Hotspur, with the North London club holding an option to make the move permanent.

The 25-year-old Ukrainian international will reunite with his former manager Roberto de Zerbi at Spurs, having previously worked together at Shakhtar Donetsk before Mudryk’s big-money move to Chelsea in January 2023.
Mudryk has not featured in competitive action since November 2024 after serving a suspension following an adverse finding for the banned substance meldonium.
The winger became eligible to return to football in July and is now eager to reignite his career away from Stamford Bridge.
The loan deal will see Tottenham cover the majority of Mudryk’s wages, with the option to sign him permanently at the end of the season for a fee believed to be in the region of £50 million.
Tottenham are also finalising a permanent deal for Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo, 28, who will replace Kevin Danso as the Austrian centre-back prepares to join Sunderland on an initial loan.
In a busy day of negotiations, Italian club Como have also secured a season-long loan for Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
The 28-year-old shot-stopper became available after two costly errors in Chelsea’s opening Premier League match against Fulham, which led to the Blues conceding twice.
Chelsea have already moved to replace Sanchez by signing Argentine Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa for £7.5 million.
The Blues have been active throughout the transfer window, with Como having already purchased defender Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea for £31 million earlier this month.
Meanwhile, uncertainty continues to surround Enzo Fernandez’s future at Stamford Bridge. Manchester City have expressed interest in the Argentine midfielder, though no formal offer has materialised.
Chelsea value Fernandez at £120 million and would only consider a departure if they receive a substantial fee and can strengthen their squad in return.
The Mudryk loan represents a calculated gamble for both clubs, with Chelsea hoping the 25-year-old can rediscover his form under familiar management while potentially increasing his transfer value ahead of a permanent sale.
