Chelsea are preparing to launch a January transfer move for AC Milan’s teenage striker Francesco Camarda as they look to continue their aggressive recruitment of Europe’s elite young talent.
Chelsea ready January bid for record-breaking striker Camarda
The Blues, under the BlueCo ownership, have built a reputation for securing the world’s best young players.
This strategy remained evident during the 2026 summer window, with six of Xabi Alonso’s signings aged 23 or under. Now, the club has identified Camarda as a prime target.
The 18-year-old has already etched his name into the history books. He became the youngest player ever to feature in Serie A when he debuted for Milan against Fiorentina in November 2023 at just 15 years and 260 days.
He then broke another record, becoming the youngest Italian to appear in the Champions League at 16 years and 226 days.
Despite his immense potential, Camarda has struggled for first-team minutes this season, featuring for only eight minutes in Serie A.
This lack of playing time has reportedly frustrated the young striker, who is eager to build on his 18 senior appearances for the club.
While Milan remain committed to the 2008-born forward and are not actively looking to sell, Chelsea are monitoring the situation closely and could test their resolve.
The striker’s talent has already drawn high praise from a club legend. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now an advisor at Milan, claimed Camarda is “more talented” than he was at the same age.
With Chelsea’s proven willingness to invest in youth, a January bid for the history-making Italian international is a distinct possibility.
