Emerson Palmieri is due to be offloaded by Chelsea this summer but only at the right price.
According to reports, Chelsea have set an asking price of £26 million for the left wing-back. He was signed from AS Roma for around £18 million in January of 2018.
Emerson has not succeeded on his Premier League quest, mostly filling in as a backup to Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta at Chelesa. Frank Lampard is already getting his target in Ben Chilwell from Leicester City. With the £50 million signing on his way, it would make sense to recoup some of that money through player sales.
Emerson still has contract with Chelsea until June 2022. That gives the Blues enough time to find a proper suitor. Previously, he was linked with Juventus and Inter Milan as a reunion with former bosses, Maurizio Sarri and Antonio Conte. Sarri has been sacked by Juventus and Conte seems close to leaving Inter as well.
Reports suggests that Inter are still keen on the Italian but for a fee closer to £22 million. In all aspects, Chelsea might have to bite the bullet and take whatever they can get. Lampard has plenty of incomings planned and funds will be necessary to ensure that.
