PSG are ready to part ways with Chelsea target Neymar

Chelsea might benefit from PSG’s willingness to sell Brazilian superstar Neymar in the summer if the appropriate deal comes along.

PSG has extended Kylian Mbappe’s lucrative new deal, thereby preventing the French teenager from joining Real Madrid. The consequences, on the other hand, might have an influence on Neymar, with the club reportedly eager to cut ways with him in order to balance the books.

In 28 appearances for the Parisiens this season, the former Barcelona striker has 13 goals and eight assists in all competitions. Despite being troubled by injuries for the majority of the season, the 30-year-old has put up respectable stats.

Despite Neymar’s declaration to Fabrizio Romano that he wants to stay at PSG, there appears to be some hope that the club may make a different decision. It remains to be seen whether this will entice Chelsea to make a move.

Chelsea is undergoing a buyout, and the club will usher in a new era under new ownership. To demonstrate their presence at Stamford Bridge, the new owners may wish to sign a statement.

It doesn’t get much better than Neymar when it comes to making bold statements. The Brazilian is one of football’s greatest players, and bringing him to Chelsea would go a long way toward establishing the club’s new ownership.

Chelsea has a variety of attacking alternatives and does not require Neymar to help the team’s strikers. Neymar, on the other hand, can provide something unique and is capable of winning games on his own.

Danny Drinkwater will leave Chelsea on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old midfielder joined the Blues in 2017 from Leicester City and made only 23 appearances in the process.

He mostly spent the last five seasons out on loan at Aston Villa, Burnley, Kasimpasa and most recently Reading.

He suggests he was treated poorly at Chelsea although his injuries and off-field behaviour were some of the reasons behind his failed move.

‘My time at Chelsea has come to an end… actually feels really strange writing this. Me, the club and fans are hugely disappointed with the outcome there is no doubt about that,’ Drinkwater wrote on Instagram.

‘Injuries, how I have been treated, mistakes I have made, issues of the pitch, lack of game time… the list of excuses could be endless but I would not and can not change what’s happened.

‘Football’s a fantastic sport but this for both parties was a business move gone wrong, it’s as black and white as that.

‘To the Chelsea fans I apologise for how this has turned out I would of loved for you to see me at my best in that shirt doing what I love. All the best x.’

N’Golo Kante has been immensely successful at Chelsea.

The Blues will struggle to find potential suitors in the transfer market this summer under the new ownership.

But the club needs a major overhaul in certain areas mainly in the midfield and defence line.

Ian Wright feels Chelsea needs an immediate replacement for Kante in this summer.

Wright told Premier League Productions: “What’s going to happen with Chelsea next season? Without an owner who used to just write off £100million every year.

“Is the new owner going to be able to do that? Because that’s how they’ve been able to do what they have been doing.

“How’s that going to happen now? They need defenders, they’re going to need defenders.

“Kante’s starting to get a little bit of injuries, so they’re going to need to replace him. What’s happening with [Romelu] Lukaku?

“It’s just crazy what’s happening at Chelsea. I can’t really put my finger on it deep down. But form’s gone, you see some of the games they’ve had, they’ve been so poor in the games.”

The future of Chelsea was always a concern but now there’s a green light from the Premier League and government to proceed with the takeover.

Liverpool chairman Tom Werner reveals his latest conversation with the new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.

“John Henry and I have known and admired Todd from his association with the Los Angeles Dodgers… I’ve had a couple of conversations with him in the last week. He was just picking my brain. I think he will be good for Chelsea. I know they are working right now on a stadium solution. I think he will prove to be an excellent owner,” Werner said.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admits several of his players remain in limbo

Tuchel has previously said that the club is in negotiations with Cesar Azpilicueta regarding his future, despite the fact that the club captain has triggered an automatic one-year contract extension.

Barcelona is still interested in the right winger, and the Catalan giants are also said to be interested in Marcos Alonso.

Incoming owner Todd Boehly understands the importance of signing James and fellow academy graduate Mason Mount to new contracts.

However, James, who has three years left on his contract with his childhood club, stated that “at the moment there is nothing going on with a contract.”

Chelsea cannot decide the fates of contractual players until Todd Boehly’s takeover is completed, leading manager Tuchel to admit that numerous players’ futures are in doubt.

“It’s a bit strange, you don’t really know what’s going to happen,” said Tuchel.

“If we are able to sell, do we want to sell, do we have a chance to get alternatives?

“So the situation is, not only for us, as those responsible for the rebuild and responsible for the transfers, but also for the players, a strange situation.

He also said: “I want to be playing every game I can and this season has probably been my worst season for injuries.

“I’ve picked up more than I ever have before. That’s something I need to work on going into the new season. I’m sure there are a few things I can adapt or change going into the new season, to try and change and make sure I don’t reoccur the same injuries.”

Thiago Silva plans to stay beyond next season.

The Brazilian defender will be a part of the 2022/23 squad which will be his third season in a Chelsea shirt.

He explains how he feels at home at Chelsea and promises fans he would beyond the upcoming season.

“It’s strange. You come for one season and you don’t know what’s going to happen because people look at you and maybe have a few doubts because of your age,” Silva said.

“I was happy to accept for a second season and now a third – and who knows, maybe even a fourth after that!

“I’m happy here, my family is happy and that helps a lot because when I go outside of the pitch, it can only go well as well. I feel good in London. I feel at home.

“Even when I first came to London, I feel at home inside the stadium, I felt the love from the fans on social media and that goes a long way. We play well when we feel at home.”

Thomas Tuchel happy to end season with victory over Watford

Kai Havertz and Ross Barkley earned three points for Thomas Tuchel’s side in the final league game.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is happy to end the season with a victory. The Blues defeated Watford on Sunday and finished third in Premier League 2021/22. Kai Havertz and Ross Barkley scored for Chelsea.

“When you play a game with not so much pressure than usual, it can be a little strange but I am happy we won,” said Thomas Tuchel after the match.

“It looked like we almost gave it away again at the end and had another draw at home but we came back strongly. Reece and Ross turned it around in our favour. I’m happy for Ross to score on what was his 100th game in a Chelsea shirt.

“It was a mood changer for us today and we are happy to end with a win. The season was more or less finished for us so we gave some players an opportunity to play who didn’t have many minutes. I was happy they could show up and take a deserved win, which is a big step up in terms of consistency for us.

“We also managed to get Chilly back on the field which was really nice so overall I’m happy for a good final day.”

Chelsea target Paulo Dybala is closing in on a move to Inter Milan

Chelsea target Paulo Dybala is close to joining Serie A rivals Inter Milan after leaving Juventus on a free transfer this summer.

The former Palermo man joined Juventus in 2015, and after seven great years in Turin, the 28-year-old is likely to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires. Dybala, a star in his own right, has been a wonderful servant to Juventus.

Dybala has played 39 times for Juventus this season, scoring 15 goals and providing six assists across all competitions in what has been a difficult season for the Old Lady. The Turin giants may no longer be the overwhelming force they once were.

It is no secret that Chelsea, who were riding high at the moment, have suffered greatly as a result of the limits imposed following Roman Abramovich’s fines. It remains to be seen if it will finally come back to hurt us in our pursuit of Dybala.

The Blues may have missed out on another player owing to their unwillingness to hold transfer discussions with any player. The attacker would have excelled in a club led by Thomas Tuchel, and his adaptability would have been crucial to the German manager’s plans.
