Oh what a strange game football can be!
Certain players indeed live the game in a story more dramatic than Shakespeare’s best works!
One such player, who has always been in the center of controversy is Diego Costa. No matter where the striker has gone, he has drawn the attention of the media.
Be it his nationality conversion from Brazil to Spain or his ill-fated temper tantrums with his managers; Costa is a diva who has delivered.
His spell in Chelsea was filled with goals and controversies. Be it stamping on rival players, or getting red-carded or scoring stunning goals to clinch matches, Costa is what football loves the most; drama.
The player’s goodbye with the club was on a rather bitter note but it was mainly down to the presence of Antonio Conte who had simply shunned the striker out of the squad.
Reports are now emerging that with Conte gone and Chelsea on the striker hunt, the Blues could be swooping in on Costa again. However, the deal would be unlikely because of three major reasons.
Chelsea will not be keen to sign a striker north of 30 with so much temperament issues. Atletico Madrid will be less than happy to sell their perfect partner for Griezmann and Costa himself would probably fly back to Brazil before returning to Stamford Bridge as a Chelsea player.
But in football, you never know..
