Harry Kane’s price tag has been set at £150 million by Tottenham Hotspur.
According to The Sun, Chelsea will have to match Spurs’ rate to get their hands on the premium frontman.
Kane is coming off his best Premier League campaign, winning the Golden Boot and the assists title. He, unfortunately, finished the season yet again without any silverware. Jose Mourinho exited the North London outfit and Spurs are back to fighting in the Europa League once again.
Kane expressed a desire to leave and fight for trophies elsewhere in his interview with Gary Neville. Of course, a number of clubs have lined up to swoop him up immediately. Manchester City are said to be favourites to land him this summer but Chelse are offering stiff competition.
Blues owner, Roman Abramovich is not ready to drop the ball on transfers. He sanctioned a £200m warchest last summer and can follow it up with the same exact one in this one. Kane would the ideal man to tie Chelsea’s attack together and turn them into title-challengers.
Reports suggest that plenty of clubs have even contacted Kane’s agent regarding a switch. It remains to be seen if Chelsea will be able to win the battle for his signature.
